Telltalen synkkä tarina neljäsosalle työvoimasta: potkut tuli

Telltale Games tiedottaa "tekevänsä yhtiöstä kilpailukykyisemmän pelinkehittäjänä ja panostavansa korkeaan laatuun tulevina vuosina". Käytännössä tämä tarkoittaa, että firma irtisanoo 90 työntekijää, eli neljäsosan koko työvoimastaan.

"Peliteollisuus on muuttunut valtavasti muutamina viime vuosina. Ympäristön realitettit vaativat, että mekin kehitymme ja muokkaamme organisaatiomme keskittymään siihen, että tehdään pienemmällä tiimillä vähemmän pelejä", kertoili toimitusjohtaja Pete Hawley.

Toimenpiteet eivät vaikuta niihin peleihin, jotka on jo julkistettu. Samalla kerrottiin, että 'sisäisesti siirrytään toimiviksi todettuihin teknologioihin'. Ilmeisesti siis firman omasta pelimoottorista luovutaan ja käyttöön otetaan esimerkiksi Unity.
